Jeff Benjamin has served as senior vice president of sales and client management since July 2014, managing the teams responsible for acquiring new Encompass clients as well as the teams who manage client relationships. He is also responsible for managing channel partners in the origination space. Mr. Benjamin joined Ellie Mae in 2001. Prior to his current role, he served as Ellie Mae’s vice president of sales for the Company’s banking division. Before joining Ellie Mae, Mr. Benjamin served as executive vice president of sales for Desert Document Services. Mr. Benjamin holds a BA in International Affairs from the University of Colorado.
Lisa Bruun SVP, Human Resources & Operations
Mrs. Bruun has served as senior vice president (SVP) and VP of Human Resources and Operations since 1999. Previously she was a human resources consultant with Levi Strauss & Company as well as director of technical recruiting for Comsys Technical Services Inc./Knauer Consulting. A 20-year veteran of human resource leadership experience, Mrs. Bruun has also served as VP of Human Resources and Administration for 800-Software, Inc., a subsidiary of Digital Equipment Inc. Mrs. Bruun is also a certified SPHR- SHRM Senior Human Resource Professional.
Susan Chenoweth Scarth SVP, Marketing
Susan Chenoweth Scarth has served as senior vice president (SVP) of Marketing since December, 2012, overseeing the development and execution of Ellie Mae’s marketing, branding, communications and client acquisition strategies. Prior to joining Ellie Mae, Ms. Scarth held executive global marketing positions at various software companies, including Jigsaw/Salesforce.com, Taleo and Commerce One. Ms. Scarth holds a BS in business economics from University of California, Santa Barbara.
Michelle Gable VP, Investor Relations
Ms. Gable has served as vice president (VP), Investor Relations since October 2014. From August 2011-October 2014, she served as VP of Financial Planning and Analysis. Prior to joining Ellie Mae, she was VP of Finance of Del Mar DataTrac, until the company was acquired by Ellie Mae in 2011. Ms. Gable has also served as a senior associate with RA Capital Advisors, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, and turnaround situations. Ms. Gable earned her BBA in accounting from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA.
Matt LaVay VP, Finance
Mr. LaVay has served as vice president, finance since November 2014, having originally joined Ellie Mae as vice president, controller in May 2012. Prior to Ellie Mae, Mr. LaVay served as VP, corporate controller for Taleo Corporation and corporate controller and senior director of Finance for Scientific Learning Corporation. He has also served as corporate controller for Thomas Weisel Partners Group, Inc. and in various director and managerial positions for Salesforce.com, PeopleSoft, Inc. and Arthur Andersen LLP. He holds a Master of Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University and a BS in Industrial Management from The Georgia Institute of Technology.
Jonas Moe VP, Product Strategy
Mr. Moe has served as vice president (VP) of Product Strategy since January 2012, having originally joined Ellie Mae in 2001. He previously served as group product manager during which, among other contributions, he developed Ellie Mae’s Encompass Electronic Document Management and Encompass Webcenter online client portal solutions as well the Encompass Client Resource Center. Mr. Moe holds a BS in restoration ecology from UC Davis.
David Robbins CIO & SVP
Mr. Robbins has served as chief information officer (CIO) and senior vice president (SVP) since January 2012. Mr. Robbins previously served as VP of Global Infrastructure with NetApp before assuming the role of chief technology officer (CTO). Prior to his position with NetApp, Mr. Robbins led North American infrastructure services strategy for Capgemini Outsourcing. A 30-year veteran of the information technology industry, Mr. Robbins also served as the director of Engineering Services at Totality Inc. and in various leadership roles during a 15-year tenure at Electronic Data Systems.
Ms. Schreiner Gates has served as senior vice president (SVP) of Sales and Client Services since February, 2012. Prior to joining Ellie Mae, Ms. Schreiner Gates served as SVP of Sales and Client Services for Bersin & Associates and vice president of Sales, Business Development and Client Success with Clickability, Inc. She has held various senior management positions with MarketTools, Inc. and Keynote Systems/Vividence, Inc., as well. Ms. Schreiner Gates holds an MBA in finance from the Rutgers Graduate School of Management and a BA in French literature from Douglass College-Rutgers University.
Joe Tyrrell SVP, Corporate Strategy
Joe Tyrrell has served as senior vice president of Corporate Strategy since May 2014, overseeing Ellie Mae’s business and corporate development efforts involving the Company’s network of current and potential business partners and merger and acquisition strategies. Mr. Tyrrell also oversees a number of strategic initiatives, including Ellie Mae’s Total Quality Loan (TQL) program and customer relationship management (CRM) offerings. Prior to his current role, Mr. Tyrrell served as Ellie Mae’s senior vice president of client management and business development. Mr. Tyrrell joined Ellie Mae in 2002, having previously served as vice president for Providian Financial in addition to numerous executive positions within the mortgage industry. Mr. Tyrrell holds a BA in Business Management from St. Mary’s College.
Ting Wu SVP, Technology
Ting Wu has served as senior vice president (SVP) of Technology since August 2007. Mr. Wu began his career with Ellie Mae as development manager in 2000 and was subsequently promoted to director and VP positions. Mr. Wu has also served as a faculty research assistant with the Center for Automation Research at the University of Maryland, as well as with IBM’s internet division. He was lead engineer with Prodigy before serving as lead architect with S&P, Comstock. Mr. Wu received his BS in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University. He received an MS in electrical engineering from Northwestern University, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.
