COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Ellie Mae’s commitment to service goes beyond our clients and into our communities through our employee-inspired EllieCares community outreach program. EllieCares efforts have aided several local and national charities, including:

  • Alameda County Community Food Bank

  • Family Emergency Shelter Coalition
  • Family Giving Tree
  • Feeding America

“Ellie Mae’s generous donation was a wonderful surprise. Their generosity and commitment to help the underprivileged youth in Las Vegas will directly touch the hearts and lives of more than 200 children. It was a great pleasure and honor that Ellie Mae was willing to work this past year with the Patrick Kelley Youth Foundation. We cannot thank them enough.”

Ellie Mae donates computers in Kenya

Ellie Mae donates computers to benefit students in Kenya

Recently, Ellie Mae donated four laptop computers to an art-for kids non-governmental organization (NGO) serving a village in Kenya. Students, many of whom had never used a computer before, were provided with donations of laptops, textbooks and encyclopedias as part of the outreach effort. According to Rachelle Sloss, a teacher involved with the non-profit project, the students picked up on technology quickly and were able to put the computers to good use. “The students and teachers were so excited and incredibly grateful for the donations,” she said.

“Ellie Mae is not only dedicated to serving our client community of banks, mortgage companies and credit unions by providing market-leading mortgage management solutions, we are committed to giving back to global communities, as well,” said Sig Anderman, founder and CEO of Ellie Mae. “Providing laptops for this non-profit Kenyan project is just one way we have been able to show our gratitude for our success as a software company and help communities throughout the world experience and learn about technology.”

Ellie Mae’s Encompass® Experience 2013 in Las Vegas was more than just three days of advising clients on how to maximize their use of Encompass®. It was also an opportunity to help disadvantaged local youth.

From Oct. 14-16, Ellie Mae staff and client attendees built more than 150 bicycles that will be distributed by the Patrick Kelley Youth Foundation at its annual bike day. In addition, Ellie Mae donated $10,000 towards building 100 more bicycles. In total, more than 200 disadvantaged Las Vegas youth will be positively impacted by the company’s efforts.

“Ellie Mae’s generous donation was a wonderful surprise,” said H Waldman, a Patrick Kelley Youth Foundation board member. “Their generosity and commitment to help the underprivileged youth in Las Vegas will directly touch the hearts and lives of more than 200 children. It was a great pleasure and honor that Ellie Mae was willing to work this past year with the Patrick Kelley Youth Foundation. We cannot thank them enough.”
