Ellie Mae Releases Encompass 1.1 with Industry's
First "Concierge" Service
Personal Appointments, New Features Speed Encompass Adoption
Dublin, CA—MARCH 4, 2004—Ellie Mae, Inc., today announced
the release of Version 1.1 of its Encompass mortgage management
system for mortgage professionals-and the introduction of its "Concierge"
installation, set-up, and training service. Since the initial launch
of Encompass in November, 2003, tens of thousands of mortgage professionals
have switched to this revolutionary mortgage origination software
featuring specific interfaces for loan officers, processors, and
brokers in a secure, scalable, collaborative system.
New Version Influenced by Customer Feedback
Encompass version 1.1 contains new features and improvements, based
on customer feedback, including improved Good Faith Estimate (GFE)
form layouts, new state-specific input and output forms (Florida,
Georgia, New York, Ohio and Texas), additional custom forms for appraisal
requests, borrower certification and authorization, and other modifications.
"Due to the overwhelmingly positive response to Encompass in the
three months since the product launched, we've doubled our support
resources for the new version 1.1 and are offering a level of service
never available to the industry until now," said Sig Anderman, Chairman
and CEO, Ellie Mae. "As CEO, I insist that customer service is our
first order of business, and I am pleased to say that initial response
to this program has been terrific."
Personal Assistance From Installation to Use
The first of its kind, "Concierge" service enables mortgage originators
to receive personal assistance installing, setting up, and using
Encompass from qualified Ellie Mae specialists. Customers call to
make an appointment at a date and time of their choosing. An Ellie
Mae specialist calls back and, over the phone, personally walks the
customer through installation and set-up. The specialist will also
help transfer customer borrower files and contacts and help set up "My
ePASS" connections with preferred lenders, automated underwriters,
credit providers and other settlement service providers. Experienced
Encompass processors can even walk customers through the actual loan
origination process.
If the customer's installation/set-up can't be resolved over the
phone, Ellie Mae Concierge service offers a unique solution: the
specialist will establish a secure Web-Ex connection and do it remotely.
In addition to Concierge service, Ellie Mae offers extensive, free
online training for loan officers, processors, and brokers-with larger
Encompass installations receiving on-site training upon request.
"We were extremely impressed by the support from Ellie Mae's technicians
when we were installing Encompass and the fact that we could determine
the set-up appointment time. They even called me back when I missed
the scheduled time," said Rocke Andrews, partner at Meridian Mortgage
and president of the Arizona Association of Mortgage Brokers. "Encompass
goes above and beyond traditional loan origination software and is
truly the first-ever mortgage management system to significantly
improve our workflow and processes."
Encompass 1.1 Availability
Encompass 1.1 is available to all installed Encompass customers
for immediate auto-update. Customers can arrange Encompass installation
by calling their sales representatives or the toll-free Ellie Mae
customer support number: 800-777-1718.
