Ellie Mae Named One of Top 50 "Best Places to Work
in the Bay Area"
Area Business Newspapers Sponsor Inaugural Competition
Dublin, CA-APRIL 5, 2004-Ellie Mae, Inc., the leading provider of
desktop and web-enabled technology for the mortgage industry, has
been named one of the top 50 "Best Places to Work in the Bay Area" by
the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley/San Jose
Business Journal.
The goal of the inaugural "Best Places to Work in the Bay Area" competition
was to create an objective process to compare and evaluate companies
as employers. The two-step online process started with a management
survey of each participating company by PeopleView, an Orange County-based
employee satisfaction consultant, that gathered information on such
topics as pay and benefits, participation rates in 401(K)s, and other
benefits and policies. Next employees were asked to respond anonymously
to a series of questions about the company. Both the management and
employee surveys addressed six key areas of employee satisfaction:
communication within the company, the work environment, compensation,
benefits, promotions, and recognition.
"To be chosen as one of the best places to work in the San Francisco
Bay Area is a tremendous honor for our employees, our management
team, and me personally," said Sig Anderman, CEO of Ellie Mae. "This
award validates the enormous talent, hard work, and continually amazing
contribution of our employees in making us the mortgage industry
technology change-agent. We try very hard to keep our employees informed
of our company's progress quarterly. Everyone has the opportunity
and the right to ask questions and to have an opinion at any time.
Our management understands that our most critical asset is the quality
and satisfaction of our employees."
