Ellie Mae Announces Encompass®
1.5
Provides Enterprise-Level Functionality, Usability, Productivity,
Performance
Salt Lake City, UT—JUNE 7, 2004—Ellie Mae, Inc., announced
the availability of version 1.5 of its Encompass mortgage management
system at the 2004 National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB)
Annual Convention today in Salt Lake City. The comprehensive new
release includes enterprise-level functionality for secure, scalable
networking, integration with legacy and third-party applications,
significant usability and performance enhancements, and the introduction
of new single- and five-user licenses to meet the needs of thousands
of small origination companies.
"With Encompass 1.5, we are seeing the true power of this advanced
software," said Jonathan Corr, senior vice president of products
for Ellie Mae. "Our customers have embraced Encompass as the solution
of the future, and they are actively engaged with us in providing
suggestions for enhancements which, in turn, help drive our development
efforts."
Enterprise-Level Functionality
Version 1.5 provides both smaller and larger companies the ability
to give remote users access to Encompass easily and securely through
their own servers using HTTPS, industry-standard secure networking.
Also, larger companies with existing legacy systems and third-party
business-system providers can now integrate with Encompass easily.
Encompass 1.5 also includes an optional software development kit
(SDK) with a licensed, documented API (application programming interface)
as well as a number of features to help larger companies administer
Encompass across multiple organizations.
Performance Enhancements
Encompass 1.5 features faster loading and printing of pipelines,
reports, and dashboards. It allows users to print documents without
previewing them and to edit custom forms on a loan-by-loan basis.
Usability and Productivity Enhancements
Responding to feedback from over 1000 Encompass users, Ellie Mae
incorporated hundreds of usability and productivity enhancements
for processors and loan officers into Encompass 1.5. Some of these
include: updated forms with embedded fonts for improved printing
reliability, improved navigation and sorting ability for column headings,
pipeline search functionality, expanded help files and guides, automatic
duplication of borrower data for a second mortgage, the ability to
automatically update contact information when creating a new loan,
and more flexibility in generating tailored reports.
New Single and Five-User Licenses Available
To meet the needs of smaller origination companies, Ellie Mae is
making Encompass 1.5 available for purchase as a single-user ($595)
and five-user ($795) license, both of which include the first year's
maintenance and support. Ongoing maintenance for both new licenses
is $295 per year. Interested brokers should call 1-888-955-9100 for
more information.
Since its first release in December 2003, Encompass has been adopted
by thousands of originators across the country. In February 2004,
Ellie Mae introduced Encompass "Concierge Service" to provide new
users with easy set-up and support. This free service features online
appointments for personal help installing and setting up Encompass.
Users can also make appointments with professional processors to
be guided through the processing of actual loans using Encompass.
"With Encompass," said products VP Corr, "we are delivering the
best of both worlds, the best available mortgage technology with
the best customer service anywhere."
