Ellie Mae and Criterion Corp. Partner to Provide
Realtors Instant Access to Title and Escrow
Alliance Brings Streamlined Technology to Real Estate Professionals
Baltimore, MD-June 17, 2003-Ellie Mae® Inc., the leading provider
of desktop and Web-enabled solutions and software for the mortgage
industry, announced a partnership with Criterion Corp., a Silicon
Valley-based technology company that provides wireless solutions
to the real estate industry, at the 2003 National Association of
Mortgage Brokers Annual Conference (NAMB).
According to the agreement, Ellie Mae's ePASS® Business Center
technology will be integrated into Criterion's Real Estate Dashboard
(RED) TabletT solution for real estate professionals. The RED Tablet
is an innovative real estate transaction management application utilizing
the Tablet PC as a tool to facilitate the entire real estate purchase
and listing process from a single point of control. The integration
with Ellie Mae will enable Realtors to leverage the ePASS Business
Center, connecting to the industry's leading service providers, including
one-stop access to opening and ordering escrow.
"Ellie Mae's ePASS technology is a natural fit for the solutions
we provide to Realtors," said Dan Tealdi, president of Criterion. "Our
mission is to streamline the Realtor's job when working with home
sellers and buyers. By combining our technology with Ellie Mae's,
we empower Realtors with the ability to instantly create a contract
for their client and select who will handle their escrow from a list
of the industry's leading providers. Once the provider is selected,
escrow is automatically opened and with ePASS seamlessly integrated
into RED Tablet, all required fields are instantly and securely transferred
in one easy step."
"This alliance combines two technology pioneers in today's real
estate and mortgage industry," said Sig Anderman, CEO of Ellie Mae. "Both
of our companies aim to streamline the process for all parties involved.
With the integration of RED Tablet and the industry-leading connectivity
of ePASS, real estate brokers, agents, title, escrow, lenders, mortgage
brokers, appraisers, sellers and buyers come together over one seamless
connectivity point, reducing paper, while saving time and money."
