Ellie Mae's Piper Beveridge Named to HousingWire's 2017 Women of Influence List

Annual program honors high-achieving women across the U.S. housing economy

PLEASANTON, Calif. – August 2, 2017Ellie Mae® (NYSE:ELLI), the leading cloud-based platform provider for the mortgage finance industry, announced today that Piper Beveridge, vice president of government and strategic relations for Ellie Mae, has been named to HousingWire’s 2017 Women of Influence list. Beveridge and other accomplished housing industry leaders named to the list are profiled in the August 2017 issue of the publication.

This is the seventh year that HousingWire has recognized the women leading the mortgage banking and real estate industries, and each year, the nominations grow more and more competitive. The 2017 Women of Influence program profiles 50 women who represent a variety of occupations within the housing economy, each demonstrating leadership that inspires those in their own companies, in their communities and in the industry at large.

“It's exciting to see the talent represented in this year's Women of Influence winners. These dynamic women represent every part of the mortgage ecosystem and their achievements are vital to the mission of expanding homeownership,” said Sarah Wheeler, HousingWire Magazine Editor. “HousingWire is thrilled to recognize and celebrate their accomplishments as they build better operations, solutions and companies.”

Some of HousingWire’s 2017 award winners have worked their way up in traditional mortgage companies, while others started their own businesses. Each woman has made their mark in marketing, technology, economics, compliance, operations and business development.

“To have Piper recognized for her achievements and contributions to both Ellie Mae and the overall mortgage industry is such a well-deserved accomplishment,” said Jonathan Corr, president and CEO of Ellie Mae. “By successfully managing and growing relationships with government sponsored entities, and other regulatory bodies, Piper has had an enormous impact on the success of Ellie Mae, our customers and their customers, U.S. homebuyers.”

Many of this year’s winners mentor other women in the industry, manage internship programs for college students or work with business groups in disadvantaged areas. Others coordinate volunteer programs for their employees or serve on advisory boards that inform the industry. Investing time and effort to see others succeed is a hallmark of this group and should be celebrated in its own right.

“As the mortgage industry continues to do the right thing — increase diversity in the workforce — the housing finance business will likewise keep moving from strength to strength,” said HousingWire Editor in-Chief Jacob Gaffney. “The progress is undeniable; as the number of influential women in housing grows so does our recognition for the Influential Women of Housing. Our list is bigger and better than ever.”
