Ellie Mae at UC Berkeley's Career Connection Night

On Thursday, February 1, Ellie Mae was invited to UC Berkeley’s Career Connection Night, an event geared toward students seeking careers in Human Resources (or HR). Company representatives lined the room and students spent the evening getting to know the abundance of titles and jobs within the HR function while creating connections and networking.

Ellie Mae’s own Tamra McLaughlin spent the night talking with UC Berkeley students about recruiting and what it means to be a recruiter. “As an ambassador for your company, it is very important to believe in the message of the company – and I believe in the Ellie Mae message,” Tamra told one student. Recruiters are the first impression candidates receive when looking for a job; and when you believe in your company, the passion and enthusiasm resonates outward.

Events like these are significant for Ellie Mae because we are competing with some of the top Bay Area tech companies for incoming waves of talent from the best schools in California. Our University Recruiting program has played a pivotal role in seeking and finding recent college graduates with incredible talent to join our team. Know someone looking to make a difference from day one? Check out our open positions on elliemae.com.

We plan on attending more recruiting events as the year goes on, so make sure to follow us on all of our social media: Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
