Experience 2017: The Power of the Possible

Kicking off the Wednesday General Session at Experience this year, our very own Jonas Moe (SVP, Market Strategy) took to the stage in an exciting demonstration which showcased the power of original thinking, the power of innovation, and the power of the possible at Ellie Mae. He immediately drew the audience’s attention with compelling data that may provide context and purpose for how the mortgage industry addresses the needs of Millennial homebuyers:

48% – According to Fannie Mae, 48% of loans they acquired in 2016 were for Millennial homebuyers. It’s time to stop talking about when Millennials will enter the market; they’re here.
50 days – According to our Origination Insight Report, since 2011 the average time to close has hovered pretty consistently around 50 days. There is great opportunity to improve this number.
Faster process with fewer delays – Millennials surveyed in our 2017 Borrower Insights Survey ranked faster process with fewer delays as their top priority.
More face to face interaction – The second highest priority for those same Millennials was more face to face interaction.

For the first time in Experience history, Jonas was joined on stage by special guests who helped him exhibit our Encompass® Digital Lending Platform – the innovation that’s going to give our customers the solution to take this data and help them close more loans quicker. He called on fellow Ellie Mae employees Kevin Li (Director, Product Management), Shawna Adams (Sr. Product Manager), and Stephanie Durflinger (VP, Product Management) as he took a closer look at some of the products that make up Ellie Mae’s Encompass Digital Lending Platform: Encompass Consumer Connect®, which Ellie Mae announced March 7th, Encompass Loan Officer Connect®, and Encompass TPO Connect®, a solution for optimizing wholesale and correspondent channels.

To close out his keynote, Jonas demonstrated the power of the possible in a Real Language Request and Response demo using Alexa and Encompass Loan Officer Connect. He leaves the audience with one resonating thought: “With the platform and the innovation that takes place, we’re giving you the solution to completely customize your experience and help you close more loans quicker. My challenge to you is to join me on stage next year at Experience 2018, to be an original thinker, highlight the possible, and showcase what you are able to create using the Encompass Digital Lending Platform.”
